My story "War of the Roses" was published in The Ultra-Short: Fourteenth Annual Ultra-Short Competition, from  the University of Maine and The Primavera Press, December 2018.

In the 82nd Writer's Digest Annual Competition in the Children's/YA category, my picture book manuscript "Big Enough" took 6th place.

My micro, Just One Word, finaled in the Gotham Writers Workshop 25 Words of Wonder Contest, 2015.

My story "Independence Day" can be found in Best Short Stories from The Saturday Evening Post 2015.

My essay "System Recovery" can be found in Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Resolution. "The Perfect Christmas Tree" appears in the Patchwork Path: Christmas Stocking anthology, and "Sweet Sixteen" in Patchwork Path: Treasure Box.

"House For Sale," "Sunken," "Karma,"
and "Miracle," micro stories in the Ultra-Short Competition collection anthologies, published by The Binnacle, over at the University of Maine.

One of my middle grade novel manuscripts longlisted in the Eldin Memorial Fellowship 2015 over at The Lascaux Review.

"Ivy," my flash fiction, just won First Place (Yay!) in the 2013 Spring contest over at Wow! Women On Writing.

Won first place in the children's fiction category of the Abilene Writers' Guild's Annual Contest (2010) for a picture book manuscript for children ages 3-8.

Honorable Mention in the Mainstream/Literary Short Story category of the 79th Annual Writer's Digest Competition.

Honorable Mention in the Children's/Young Adult Fiction category of the 79th Annual Writer's Digest competition.

Winner of the flash fiction contest for "Snow." Published in the February 2010 issue of "The Verb."

Honorable Mention in the Mainstream/Literary Short Story category of the 80th Annual Writer's Digest competition (2011) for two short stories.
